Your career
shouldn't cost your health.

Chronic neck and back pain is the norm in ophthalmology, not the exception. We're designing the next generation of care around the physician.

See It In Action

VitaPixel SLC video overview

You've seen what 3D heads-up viewing did for surgery. The VitaPixel SLC brings it to your slit lamp. High dynamic range digital eyes capture exactly what you see through your eyepieces and stream it live to XR glasses in stereoscopic 3D. You stay with the slit lamp. You just stop bending over it.

"I have spent my career craning forward to look through slit lamp oculars, and my neck has kept the score. I'm so proud of the VitaPixel team! This is the first time I have seen an instrument built around the physician instead of the other way around, and it was designed with the patient in mind too."

Why we exist

The exam is short. A career of them is not.

Exam after exam, the slit lamp makes you lean in and hold still. Multiply that over a thirty-year career and it's obvious why so many ophthalmologists retire early. That's a problem the field can't afford right now: demand for eye care is climbing, and there aren't enough physicians to meet it. Losing experienced clinicians to musculoskeletal injury only makes a hard situation harder.

Great care begins with the comfort of the caregiver. Technology should elevate, not complicate, clinical care. And no one should have to choose between their career and their health.

Clinical-Grade Optics

The clinical picture you see through the eyepiece should survive the journey to the display. Built around precision optics with wide dynamic range and strong low-light capability, the imaging is designed to carry fine detail and faithful color from slit lamp to display.
